Lively resorts can be found along the southern coast, such as Cala’n Bosch with its marina, al fresco eateries and trendy bars. For more a more low key break, Punta Prima boasts white sands and shallow waters.

 

Menorca’s capital Mahon has a fine maritime pedigree with the city’s deep natural harbour attracting seafaring superpowers for centuries. Admiral Nelson based the British fleet here and the influence can still be seen today in the Georgian architecture. It’s also the town where mayonnaise was first made and spread!

 

Meanwhile, Ciutadella is Menorca’s style capital, with its charming port and Turkish and Gothic-architecture, adding a touch of old-world glamour. Check out the cloister-like arcade of Ses Voltes for tapas treats or head down to the yacht-filled marina at sundown for fresh seafood.
