Thomas Cook

Last updated: 10am, Tuesday 24th September 2019

Thomas Cook Group has ceased trading. This includes Thomas Cook Airlines. Our thoughts are with the staff and customers of Thomas Cook during this difficult time, and with customers who are on holiday and those who are due to travel.

In light of this sad news, we wanted to reassure our customers who are booked to travel on a Thomas Cook holiday or flight.

Customers who are yet to travel

We will be contacting customers by order of departure date over the coming days.

All Thomas Cook holidays and flights purchased through Dawson and Sanderson are fully protected and insured.

The Civil Aviation Authority, in conjuction with flight protection insurers, are assembling a process for refunds for Thomas Cook holiday packages and flights.

We understand the importance of your holiday and that this will be an anxious time for you, but please take comfort that our teams are very experienced and ready to get your holiday plans back on track.

Booking with Dawson & Sanderson gives you extra financial security. We fully protect your holiday and travel plans, ensuring your money is safe and secure. Feel free to call us with any questions or queries you may have. We are always here to help.

Customers already abroad

If you are currently abroad and your flight was with Thomas Cook, the CAA are providing new flights to return you to the UK. These repatriation flights will be operating until 6th October 2019. Where possible, the CAA are aiming for these flights to be as close as possible to your original return time and date.

Your new flight information will be made available here:

Please bookmark the above page and check regularly for updates.

Using the CAA website on a mobile device

We noticed the CAA website can be difficult to view on mobile devices in Portrait mode.

To find your return departure airport and new flight info on a mobile device:

1.  Scroll to your destination country.

2.  Drag left on the screen to reveal the airport information in the hidden column to the right.

You may find the page easier to view in Landscape mode or by selecting "Request desktop site" from the web browser menu (if using Google Chrome).

If your return flight is not with a Thomas Cook airline

Some of Thomas Cook's package holiday bookings include flights with airlines unrelated to the Thomas Cook Group.  If your return flight was not scheduled to be with a Thomas Cook airline, your original arrangements will still be valid.

Return transfers

Your transfer will be affected. You should make your own arrangements back to the airport, ensuring you allow extra time for check in.

Your hotel stay

If you are experiencing difficulties with your hotel, or your hotel is requesting payment from you, the CAA advise that you contact their call centre directly on:

+44 1753 330 330

It may take the CAA a few days to secure arrangements with your hotel.

While arrangements are being made, please do not make a payment to your hotel unless instructed otherwise by the CAA team.

For further info, please visit the CAA website.
